JIN JIN Enzyme Drink - The Perfect Pairing For Food



What is JIN JIN? Good question… We have taken inspiration from the ancient Asian art of fermentation to transform a unique blend of over 35 raw natural ingredients (including fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and cultures) into JIN JIN - a refreshing enzyme drink designed to support good gut health.


Unlike other fermented drinks, such as kombucha, we decided to create a concentrated cordial with a similar consistency to honey. All you need to do is mix 1 part (20 ml) JIN JIN with 10 parts (200 ml) water (still or sparkling) - although there are plenty of other healthy recipe ideas to try too (more on that later on!).


Why should I worry about gut health?


The gut microbiome is responsible for a number of key roles in the body including digestion and absorption of nutrients, regulating vitamin levels and supporting the immune system. Fermented drinks, like JIN JIN, contain an abundance of probiotics (A.K.A the good bacteria) that helps nourish it.


What’s more, emerging research suggests that the gut acts as a ‘second brain’ and helps determine overall health. An imbalance in gut bacteria has been linked to poor mental health (including stress, anxiety and depression) alongside chronic diseases such as IBS and diabetes, whilst a healthy gut has been shown to contribute to good heart and brain health, a strong immune system, improved mood and sleep, and effective digestion.


Where does JIN JIN come in?


JIN JIN is full of vitamins, healthy bacteria and enzymes specifically designed to offer a tasty, accessible way to support your immune system, maintain gut health and improve your overall well-being. It is also perfect for people looking to increase their fluid intake with healthy drinks other than water (whilst avoiding sugary soft drinks) thanks to its low sugar content. Plus, it is naturally low-fat, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan!


What does JIN JIN taste like?


Most people describe it as the perfect combination of sweet and sour - with a hint of goji berries. Naturally, everyone’s taste buds are different, so you may pick up on different flavour notes such as zesty grapefruit or fruity papaya. It also depends on what you mix it with and whether you have it as a drink, nutritious breakfast, satisfying snack or add it to your favourite healthy dinner recipes.


What should you drink JIN JIN with?


Where do we start? It really is up to you! Although we have a few serving suggestions… You can keep it simple by adding a couple of drops of JIN JIN cordial to still or sparkling water for a refreshing enzyme drink - or explore new flavour combinations with different food pairings.


A JIN JIN start the day off right


Why not start your day with a nourishing breakfast bowl (full of protein, healthy fats, fibre and vitamin c) by stirring 1 shot of JIN JIN through your favourite yoghurt before topping it with chopped nuts and fresh fruit?


If you often find yourself in a rush in the morning, but still want to enjoy a healthy breakfast, overnight oats are the way to go! There are plenty of fabulous flavour combinations to try ⁠and they can all easily be made vegan-friendly - like our tropical Coconut and Raspberry Overnight Oats. JIN JIN in winter...


JIN JIN also pairs perfectly with savoury dishes. During the cold winter months, we love putting a healthy twist on comfort food classics (such as a fibre-rich vegetable lasagne layered with rich tomato sauce) by serving with a crisp mixed leaf salad tossed in a zingy JIN JIN dressing (simply mix lemon juice, olive oil and JIN JIN with your choice of seasoning). Healthy dinner ideas have never been so delicious!



...JIN JIN in the summer


When the weather warms up, we pack up a nutritious picnic full of summer staples such as olives (which help lower blood pressure), hummus (an excellent source of fibre, vitamins and minerals), wholemeal breads (a source of complex carbohydrates) and cheese (for calcium) and head outside to enjoy a delicious deli spread - all washed down with a cooling glass of JIN JIN cordial whilst basking in the summer sun.


Snack ideas

Jazz up your drinks


JIN JIN is also a great non-alcoholic drink for dinner parties or social soirees - simply pour it into sophisticated glasses and add your mixer of choice with a squeeze of lime juice.



If you fancy something a little more adventurous, try adding to your favourite cocktail or mocktail (we love mixing with bourbon or whiskey, sugar syrup, Angostura bitters, ice and a slice of orange for a twist on the classic Old Fashioned).
